Overview
I trained as an urban historian at the University of Sheffield where I obtained PhD in landscape study. My research interest in urban transition blends ethnographic and historical perspectives and has primarily focused on the rapidly urbanising east China.
I joined the University of Manchester in 2019 to work with the international research project ‘A Systems Approach to Sustainable Sanitation Challenges in Urbanising China’ (SASSI) as a research associate. My recent study has adapted a gendered lens in exploring everyday sanitation access among migrant women.
