I am a PhD student at the University of Manchester, working on time preferences. My previous works were either theoretical or empirical, whereas now I try to combine both. My research interests lie within several fields: Choice & Preferences, Mechanism Design, Resource allocation, and Behavioural Economics.
My current work is aimed at developing a theoretical model of measuring individual utility from kidney transplantation and modelling willingness to participate (and wait) in Kidney Exchange Programmes. For the empirical part, I plan to estimate time discounting factor based on decisions of individuals to come back to labor force after recovery from severe health shocks, like cancer, using existing household panels and survey data. This work is conducted under the supervision of Professor Antonio Nicolo and Professor Martyn Andrews.
