Charlotte joined the School of Health Sciences at The University of Manchester in September 2021 as a Research Associate in the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit.
She has a background in biology and psychology and holds an MSc and PhD in Ergonomics from Loughborough University.
Following a career in global research and development at Unilever plc, Charlotte returned to academia in 2009 developing a wide range of experience working on projects across health and social care.
Primarily focusing on health, wellbeing and quality of life her research has centred on social isolation and loneliness in older adults, experiential learning in health and social care, evidence-based workforce development and implementation of policy in mental health and substance abuse services.
