Biography

About me

I am a visual media designer and academic that is technologically platform agnostic. Digital or analogue, I'm happy to move atoms, bits or bytes. I've painted, edited, recorded, composed, sketched, storyboarded, doodled, programmed and written on screen and paper. I am creative with content either built by others or myself and along the way I've helped other people this fun journey I started over thirty years ago.

I am committed to teaching a new generation the mix between design and technology. I am currently a Lecturer at the University of Manchester in the School of Materials, Department of Textiles and Paper. I work exclusively on BSc in Design Management for Fashion Retailing where I teach Fashion Retail design using digital multi media. My other work includes Post Graduate (MSc/MPhil) and PhD supervision within Fashion and Textile design using digital media design technologies.

My other work includes the following: Expert evaluator and Rapporteur for European Commission. Widely published as an Apple OS expert. Contributing Editor for MacUser magazine, Dennis Publishing London.
Specialties

I offer 30 years of creative practice and leadership within the CAD, computer graphics the digital media industries & higher education, expert knowledge of advanced ICT and design and an excellent international & national publishing record.
