Matteo Ronzani joined Alliance Manchester Business School in 2020 as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Accounting and Finance Division. Before joining AMBS, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Edinburgh School of Social and Political Science. He completed his PhD in 2018 at The University of Edinburgh Business School and his MSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2015.
Matteo studies the effects of performance measurement practices and technologies of calculation in organizations and society, focusing primarily on data visualizations and multimodal communication. Empirically, he investigates these issues in settings such as megaprojects, international organizations, and large-scale humanitarian crises. Matteo’s research is published in Accounting, Organizations and Society, Organization Studies, and Research in the Sociology of Organizations.
Currently, Matteo is involved in the teaching of the following courses: Introductory Management Accounting (UG), Advanced Management Accounting (UG), Qualitative Research Methods (PGT), and Advanced Accounting Research (PGR).
