Social responsibility

Dr. Ticini is the author of several scientific papers and book chapters. His activities include  public talks (such as Brain Awareness Week, Neuroscience café, Festival of Science), media coverage (e.g., BBC, Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, La Repubblica, Radio Vaticana, RAI, L'Espresso and in leading art journals), as well as articles and essays for internationally recognized artists and designers (e.g. Missoni). He has also worked as consultant (e.g. for BBC).

He contributed to the development of the field of neuro-aesthetics and he co-organized several international initiatives in this research field. In 2004 he received the compliments by the President of the Italian Republic for the originality and the scientific content of his work, and in 2011 he has been elected a member of the group Italian leaders abroad - Aspen Institute Italia. Since then, Ticini has been Expert evaluator for the European Commission, and reviewer for the Economic & Social Research Council (UK).
