I am a Brazilian educational psychologist and queer activist by background, and currently a PhD researcher, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant at the University of Manchester.

My PhD research discusses how ideas of time, age, and future regulate gender recognition policies in the UK. My supervisors are Prof Erica Burman, Prof Jackie Stacey, and Dr Deborah Ralls.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I teach and support undergrad and postgrad units on educational psychology, international education, research methods, and equality, diversity, and inclusion. Additionally, I convene the Discourse Unplugged group, based at Manchester Institute of Education. I am also a research assistant for the project "Queer experiences of disasters, intersectionality, and the spatial dimension" at HCRI-UoM. Finally, I work on University's projects for wider participation and knowledge exchange, understanding higher education and research as tools for social justice and transformation.

Before joining the University of Manchester, I have been researching gender and sexuality in schools, practices in educational psychology, public policies for the LGBTI+ population, and LGBTIphobic violence in Brazil. I also taught undergrad courses in Psychology, and professional development courses for teachers in Diversity, Gender and Sexuality at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You can check some of my publications through the links above.

My pronouns are he/him.
