Lindsey is a lecurer on the MSc/PGDip Deaf Education programme at the University of Manchester.


Lindsey Jones received her undergraduate degree in primary education with QTS from the University of Northumbria and worked as a teacher in mainstream and SEND education for a number of years. Lindsey went on to study for her MSc in Deaf Education from the University of Manchester and worked as a Teacher of the Deaf and Head of a Hearing Impaired Service in the North East before being appointed her lectureship at the University of Manchester. In Lindsey's own research for her PhD, she is evaluating the effectiveness of an early years home-based intervention on the development of deaf and hearing children's scientific argumentation skills. 

Memberships of committees and professional bodies

Lindsey is a senior fellow of the HEA and a member of the British Assosiation of Teachers of the Deaf.
