Supervision information

I am interested in supervising postgraduate research on any area of early modern environmental, social or agricultural history, and welcome any enquiries about postgraduate study.

I currently co-supervise the following projects:

  • Roy Hickey, 'Radical religion and the early development of the Quaker movement in the area of Pendle, the Ribble Valley, Craven and the Yorkshire Dales in the period 1600 to 1660'. Co-supervised with Prof. Sasha Handley.
  • Hanna Steyne Chamberlin, 'A River Runs Through It: An archaeological investigation of the social and economic impacts and effects of the Thames Embankment construction at Chelsea, London, 1850-1889'. Co-supervised with Dr. Hannah Cobb.
