Research interests

Research interests
My main interests are in surgical injuries to the musculoskeletal system. This includes hand injuries, sports injuries, and major limb trauma. In particular I have a specialist interest in complex wounds, tendon biology, iatrogenic tendon injury, tissue engineering, tendon regeneration, revascularisation, and tissue engraftment.

Methodological knowledge

The particular methodologies that I work with on a regular basis include, basic histology, immunohistochemistry, bio-imaging, 3D modeling, Cell mapping, in vivo study design, explant tissue culture and in vivo microsurgery. Our work focuses on developing surgically relevent tranlsational platforms as well as clinical trial design.
