My main interest is in the politics of knowledge production within and for education policy. I work with social and political theories of power, particularly in regard to the study of educational leadership. I have led and participated in a range of ESRC and BA funded projects regarding this focus, with a range of monographs being produced.
I am a member of the Critical Education Policy and Leadership research interest group within the British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society (BELMAS).
I am co-convenor of the European network: LE@DS - Leading Education and Democratic Schools.
