Grigory Pishchulov is Research Fellow in Smart Manufacturing at the Alliance Manchester Business School. He obtained an MSc in Mathematics from the Ural State University, Russia, in 1996, and a PhD in Operations Management from the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, in 2008. From 1995 to 1998 he worked in the financial services industry, before moving to the European University Viadrina as a Visiting Fellow in 1998. In 2000, he has been appointed as a Research Associate at the Department of Industrial Management of that university. In 2010, he was awarded a Leverhulme Trust Visiting Fellowship at the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. He moved to the University of Dortmund, Germany in 2012 as a Junior Professor in Supply Chain Management, where he worked until 2017. He also holds a part-time professor position at the Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship of St. Petersburg State University, Russia. His research is focused on problems in supply chain coordination, closed-loop supply chain management, inventory rationing problems, and data analytics. Outcomes of his research have been published in the European Journal of Operational Research, Omega: The International Journal of Management Science, International Journal of Production Economics, and others.
