Biography

Gavin, obtained his PhD from the University of London in 1994 and went on to work on social epidemiology projects of HIV and STIs at St. Thomas’ Hospital, London. In 1997 he moved to the University of Bristol where he worked on several quantitative and qualitative studies and completed an NHS postdoctoral doctoral training fellowship in Health Services Research. He also completed a postgraduate training course in teaching and learning in higher education. Gavin began working at the University of Manchester in 2009 and was originally based in Health Economics. He took up his fellowship position within the Centre for Primary Care in 2011.

In August 2013, Gavin was appointed as the Research Fellow to the Multimorbidity theme within the NIHR Greater Manchester Primary Care Patient Safety Translational Research Centre.
