Research interests

I belong to Dr Cartwright`s group which investigates the role of genes in the heart and implicated in cardiovascular disease.

I am currently working on the role of the plasma membrane calcium ATPase (PMCA) in the heart as its role is still unclear.

The group has shown that PMCA has both physiological and pathophysiological relevance in the heart so I am as well involved in investigating PMCA as a potential target for drug development.
