Biography
After completing her BSc Management degree in 1992, Chris McLean commenced her PhD at UMIST. Through an ethnographic style of investigation she examined the organisation and management of mental health care and the complex sets of relations and processes underlying the introduction of the care plan approach. In 1996 she became a lecturer at the Manchester School of Management, UMIST. She has also conducted studies within the newspaper printing sector and the management, governance and organisation of primary and secondary education. Chris is currently a member of CRESC, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and an academic lead for the University of Manchester School Governors Initiative. She is also a member of CRESC and a founding member of InVisio.
