Dr Antonio Savoia
Senior Lecturer in Development Economics

Biography
Dr Savoia's research has looked at the determinants of governance and institutional performance and how they impinge on development outcomes and policies. His teaching experience includes economics of governance, economics of inequality, development finance, macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics. Alongisde his teaching and research activities, Antonio also enjoys contributing to the policy debate. Before joining the University of Manchester, he has worked at the University of Exeter, the University of Reading and the University of Bath (where he received his Ph.D.).
Dr Savoia is a researcher on the Effective States and Inclusive Development research centre.
