Anne Hyland's research interests include the analysis, reception history, and editing of nineteenth-century instrumental music with a focus on chamber music. She is especially concerned with the music of Franz Schubert and his Viennese contemporaries, the analysis of sonata and variation forms, music temporality, and the intersection between music history and analysis.
