Research interests

The aim for my research is to complement my clinical interests in plastic surgery, in particular surgical reconstruction following trauma and disease. I am examining novel interventions in pre-clinical models of peripheral nerve injury and will conduct a NIHR supported first-in-man study on a polymer based nerve conduit in collaboration with School of Materials (UoM) at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in 2017. Furthermore, I am developing novel applications for adipose- derived stem cells (ASC) in tissue regeneration funded by the Scar Free Foundation.
