Social responsibility
Patient & Public Involvement: I lead a PPI project with the help of Nowgen to provide meaningful input into the development of novel peripheral nerve interventions. Since 2015 we have established an effective Patient Advisory Group that has helped to facilitate the design of nerve regeneration technology for translation into clinical practice.
Public Engagement: I have undertaken lay presentations on plastic surgery and my research with the Healing Foundation. I promote the research undertaken at the Blond McIndoe Labs through engagement events for charitable donors and Science Uncovered events at the Manchester Museum.
