Biography

Abigail is a Research Associate at Alliance Manchester Business School, currently working across projects funded by the National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (NIHR CLAHRC) Greater Manchester. Her current research focuses on integration and workforce within health services.

Abigail completed a PhD at the University of York in 2015. Her thesis investigated female cultures of body modification across the life course, focusing on how women learn practices and the social norms which surround them. Abigail also co-organised the AHRC funded project ‘Teaching Women’s History’ which investigated the representation of women’s history on the national history curriculum and what impact this had on students’ perceptions of women today.
