Overview

I am a liquid-crystal scientist with intensive expertise in nano-formulation and pharmaceutical applications of liquid crystals. I have got 15-year analytical experience in pharmaceutical industry, academia and their confluence. Along with several-year experience in ISO training and quality management, I have a refined expertise in teaching (pharmacy and chemical engineering/analytical science) for under- and post-grads including thesis supervision. I am a punctual, cooperative, hardworking and enthusiastic person, with the ability to solve problems and achieve targets efficiently as proven by my track record.

Currently, I work as a lecturer at the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science at the University of Manchester; my duties include a vast array of research as well as module and laboratory teaching and supervision. This also encompasses the development of syllabuses and the generation of new lab and tutorial practicals.

 

Biography

I am currently a lecturer at the school of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science (CEAS) at the University of Manchester (UoM). I worked as research associate for around 3 years,I have managed to publish a series of articles as a leading author.

While doing my doctoral research at the UoM, I worked as a Teaching Assistant 2009-2012. I also worked for the period 2003-2008 as a Teaching Assistant at Faculty of Pharmacy, the University of Aleppo. Along with my academic association, I worked in Hariri Pharmaceutical Industry  for 9 years (2001-2009).  

I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science from the CEAS, UoM in 2012. I also have a BS.c. in pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, The University of Aleppo. I have also 3 certificates for quality management (The Canadian Quality Management) For ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSIS 18001 received in 2006 which have enhanced my workplace related knowledge and supported my background with the required tools to achieve excellence in productivity, critical thinking and efficiency. This has been reflected clearly in my work attitude in both academia and industry, where I have consistently commended during yearly performance evaluations.
