The increasing demand for graduates in the United Kingdom is placing a significant strain on both attracting and supplying highly qualified teachers for maintaining a sustainable school workforce. This paper therefore examines the development of a research programme to examine pre-service teachers stress and wellbeing through the implementation of a mindfulness based intervention (MBI) programme.
