Developing Practical Student Learning

Practical classes are a major part of student learning and help them associate theory with the real world; they also provide the opportunity for students to develop additional skills associated with employability.

Making sure students are successful can be difficult, therefore this project aims to evaluate the current laboratory prevision and use this evaluation to create recommendations/guidelines for best practice; focused on three research questions, how do students engage with the existing pre-laboratory options, what general learning outcomes and skills can practical work provide, and how can these learning outcomes and skills be assessed?
