Description

My team have designed, built and tested the world-first Ultra High Vacuum system which enabales the stacking of many 2D materials on top of each other into van der Waals heterostructures. The new instrument can produce layered artificial solids of ultimate quality, completely avoiding contact with oxygen and water molecules, as well as removing surface hydrocarbons from interlayer interfaces.
