ISO 532-3: Loudness model

The "Moore-Glasberg-Schlittenlacher loudness model", currently in the process of being standardised as ISO 532-3 provides a model for calculating the loudness of time-varying binaural sounds.
In the field of noise evaluation it provides a much more precise estimate of the impact of noise than decibels since it takes into account various variables that contribute to perceived loudness.
It can also be used for sound quality design, designing sounds for a customer that are pleasant or coherent with a brand or expectation.
