School of Environment, Education and Development

Overview

Our world-leading research highlights the uneven relationships between societies, economies and the environment.

We address core thematic concerns, acting as the engines of the school’s interdisciplinary and problem-solving agenda, and shaping long-term policy engagement.

Perhaps most notably, the School hosts the University-level Global Development Institute (GDI) and Manchester Urban Institute (MUI).
