Overview

Manchester Environmental Research Institute (MERI) unites the knowledge and expertise from across the University of Manchester to address the environmental challenges facing the planet.

MERI develops, fosters and promotes multi- and inter-disciplinary Environmental research at the University of Manchester enabling it to be a world leading inter-disciplinary centre in this field. Environmental research is frequently interdisciplinary and we are harnessing and focussing the expertise of our 700 strong academic community that comes from across the sciences, engineering, health, social sciences and humanities. Together MERI will deliver the evidence base and solutions to tackle the challenges of global change and its effect on health care, food security, water resources and energy production.
