Architecture research banner

Our research is carried out within the Manchester Architecture Research Group (MARG).

We are particularly interested in:

  • ecological and landscape design
  • the conservation and management of historic environments
  • urban design and development.

We draw upon a wide range of interdisciplinary research interests through our ongoing collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). We also have research links to discipline areas such as:

  • archaeology
  • art history
  • popular culture
  • structural engineering.

The opportunities we provide for collaborative architectural research are unparalleled, and research bids in a variety of disciplines are strengthened by the involvement of our researchers.
