Description

This project aims to examine the epidemiology of psoriasis and its treatment modalities in Taiwan, as well as investigate the prevalence of comorbidities in patients with psoriasis. The objectives are:
•To determine trends in the incidence, prevalence and mortality of patients with psoriasis in Taiwan and examine how these epidemiological factors may have changed over time.
•To describe the demographic and disease characteristics of patients with psoriasis in Taiwan, and assess the prevalence of concomitant comorbidities in these patients.
•To describe and quantify medication utilisation patterns for the management of psoriasis in Taiwan and explore patterns of switching between medications.

This project is funded by the International Project on the Global Epidemiology of Psoriasis: Development of the Global Psoriasis Atlas (£30,000).
