Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talk

Abstract: Most of us know someone who is preoccupied with weight control or dissatisfied with their body image. Eating disorders, as extreme manifestations of these concerns, lead to physical and emotional debilitation for many people. Using fictional case studies, Caroline will show how a practitioner psychologist can meaningfully help people overcome eating disorders. She will also describe her journey through various stages of counselling psychology training and practice into a worthwhile career in therapy service design, development and leadership. She will also briefly describe her work-in-progress research on how people make desired changes in life.
