The workshop discusses the land use simulation modelling approaches using Agent based (AB) and Cellular Automaton (CA) methods. The workshop discusses the following:
1. Netlogo and Territorial Modelling
2. Data, Models and Decision Processes in Planning Activities
3. Design of Multifractal Urban or Regional Development Plans
The participants should present a proposal for policy maker that intend to introduce an imaginary city in the context of Besançon in France as a case. The participants are expected to show how the fractal, CA and AB models can be used to inform policy in that situation.
