EnviroSAR is a targeted solution for moorland & heathland using radar & other satellite technology to deliver all-weather wildfire burned-area products. EnviroSAR participated in the first Copernicus Accelerator Programme in 2016 - 2017 in partnership with the Satellite Applications Catapult as part of winning the Sustainable Living Challenge. EnviroSAR attracted much media attention during the UK wildfire season of 2018 interviewed on BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC The One Show for work achieved on producing burned area maps of the Saddleworth 2018 wildfire. In 2018 - 2019 EnviroSAR was contracted by Clyde&Co to provide mapping products for a legal case. During 2020 -2021 EnviroSAR is working in partnership with Pixalytics to assess upland burns using Sentinel-1A and Sentinel-1B SAR data for a client in the public sector.
