Emma is a final year PhD Organic Geochemistry student investigating the potential contribution of terrestrial organic matter into the Arctic food web. She has been using Py-GCMS, GC-FID, EA-IRMS and GC-IRMS to better understand terrestrial derived organic matter entering the Arctic Ocean, in particular hydrolysable amino acids.

Her project has involved a large field campaign which saw her complete sample collection on a royal research ice breaker ship to the Fram Strait and Barents Sea.
