Overview

I am currently a Doctoral student in the Division for Musculoskeletal and Dermatological Sciences, under the supervision of Prof Ralf Paus and Dr Iain Haslam

My research focusses on the side effects of chemotherapy. In particular for my PhD I am looking at different mechanisms to prevent chemotherapy induced alopecia.

I am looking to create 'multidrug resistant' hair follicles by increasing the number or efficiency of specific drug pumps (ABC transporters) that remove chemotherapy from within cells.
