Overview

Elizabeth is a postdoctoral research associate in applied mathematics and statistics. Her research interests are in developing mathematical and statistical methods for the analysis of health data.

Biography

Elizabeth moved to the West Midlands to study at the University of Warwick in 2008. She graduated in 2012 with a first-class degree in mathematics (MMath) having focussed her module choices in the final two years on algebra. She then undertook an MSc in Complexity Science (awarded with distinction, 2013) to shift her focus to the application of mathematics and statistics to real-world systems with a particular emphasis on health. Her eduction at Warwick concluded with Elizabeth being awarded her PhD on Mathematical and Statistical Challenges for the Surveillance of Gastroenteritis in April 2018. This was undertaken in collaboration with Public Health England and supervised by Dr Thomas House.
