Djasmine is a doctoral researcher in Chemical Engineering department under Sustainable Industrial Systems (SIS) research group. She joined The University of Manchester for her PhD studies in 2020 after receiving a scholarship from the Malaysian government agency, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), under Graduate Excellence Programme (GrEP).

Djasmine received her First Class Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Environmental Technology from The University of Manchester in 2015. Her MEng design project was on bio-refinery of furfural production from oats straws and her MEng dissertation was focused on heat integration and the optimisation of heat exchangers. Prior to re-joining the university, she had worked in a few engineering companies in Malaysia and took up different roles including Executive Engineer, Planner and Sales Engineer.
