I joined Politics in September 2003, having previously held academic posts at the London School of Economics (Fellow), theUniversity of Bradford (Lecturer) and the University of Leeds (Associate Lecturer). In 2006/7 (Fall/Spring Term) I was a S.J. Seeger Visiting Research Fellow at Princeton University (2006/7). In 2010 I was a Visiting Fellow at the Macmillan Center of International and Area Studies, Yale University (Spring Term) and a National Bank of Greece Senior Research Fellow at the European Institute of the London School of Economics (Summer Term).

I am the Director of the the Manchester Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (JMCE) and the Co-Editor of the book series on European Politics at Manchester University Press.
