Overview

David's PhD focuses on historicizing and critiquing the "Post-Westphalian" turn away from the state in contemporary international legal thought. He has additional research interests in political economy and critical, Marxist, and feminist philosophy.

David also co-ordinates the Global Legal Action Network's clinical legal education project within the Manchester International Law Centre. This work looks at creatively leveraging domestic, European, and international law to challenge human rights and environmental abuses in UK supply chains.
