I joined the University of Manchester in September 2019. Before that, I got a PhD in Social Psychology (2019) and a research master in Social and Behavior Science (2015) at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. I hold a bachelor in Psychology and a double-bachelor in Statistics (2013) from Peking University in China.
I'm interested in the functions of social emotions in decision making. Specifically, my PhD dissertation investigated how social exchange (e.g. receiving favors or gifts) facilitates interpersonal relationships through the distinct functions of gratitude and indebtedness.
