Biography

Drawing on corpus-based critical discourse analysis (CDA), I am examining government-affiliated interpreters' agency and ideological mediation, focusing specifically on their institutional alignment and (re)construction of China's discourse and image at the Premier-Meets-the-Press conferences (1998-2017) in mainland China. My doctoral research is supervised by Dr Rebecca Tipton and Prof Mona Baker.
