Bipasha Choudhury M.B.Ch.B., Ph.D (Med Ed)
I graduated with a medical degree from the University of Manchester in 2003 and then worked in many hospitals in the Northwest in different specialities including acute medicine, colorectal surgery and orthopaedics. I moved into teaching 15 years ago and completed my PhD in 2017 (in medical education).
I am a senior lecturer in clinical anatomy and teach topographical anatomy to a wide range of students. I am a person designated under the Human Tissues Act 2004. I teach anatomy and histology across many degree programmes (medicine, dentistry, optometry, midwifery, life sciences). I also teach physiology and pharmacology practical skills to medical and dental students. I am deputy programme director for the post graduate certificate in medical and health education.
I organise the meetings for the British Association of Clinical Anatomists (twice yearly) and am a member of the Anatomical Society of Great Britain and Ireland. My first children's anatomy book was published in September 2017.
