I am the Academic Engagement and Research Coordinator for the National Trust, which is a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of Manchester. I am passionate about public engagement with academic research, and my role is to develop relationships between National Trust properties and academic researchers. I also work with Stockport Museums at Bramall Hall and with Manchester Histories.

My background is in history, and I completed my PhD thesis "Provincial Luxury: Buying and Selling High-End Goods in Liverpool and Manchester, 1700-1800" in March 2016. My research interests are eighteenth- and nineteenth-century urban and social history, retail and consumption, the history of the North West of England.
