Overview

Beatriz Buarque is a PhD student and journalist with more than 10 years of experience in the newsroom who since 2017 has been researching themes associated with terrorism, media, radicalisation, hate speech, and extremism. Besides her willingness to deepen studies on media and hate speech, she has also been actively working in the field through the NGO Words Heal the World, which was set up by her to empower young people to challenge hate and help increase the visibility of dozens of organisations that promote peace.
