Aseel is a registered pharmacist and research associate. Aseel completed her PhD in 2016 in the area of Prescribing and Patient Safety in the Pharmacy School at the University of Manchester. Her PhD focused on the learning and clinical reasoning processes of secondary care pharmacist and nurse independent prescribers in the United Kingdom. She then went on to work as a research associate in an NIHR funded project looking into pharmaceutical care complexity screening tools to target the delivery of hospital clinical pharmacy services. Aseel also worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Toronto in Canada on a number of projects related to medication management in community and primary care, as well as medication management through the use of electronic health tools.
