Biography

BA in Philosophy at Central University of Barcelona. MA in European Studies at the Centre for European Studies at University of Exeter. PhD at University of Edinburgh on the development of European Union (EU) powers in regional policy and cohesion. Post-doctoral Fellow (2001) at the Centre for European Studies at the University of Limerick (Ireland) on EU convergence and cohesion. Reseach Officer (2002-2004) at The Federal Trust for Education and Research on a research project on Constitutionalism, Federalism and the Reform of the EU. Research Fellow (2005-2007) on EU competence and division of powers between EU and its Member states at Law School University of Manchester, and Steering Committee member (2006-2007) of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence.

BSc in Sport Science (2012) with a focus on sport coaching and physical education. Honorary Research Fellow at European Children's Rights Unit, School of Law, University of Liverpool (2013) on welfare and protection of elite athletes in professional sport.
