Biography

I am an Honorary Research Fellow at the Cathie Marsh Institute for Social Research and I am currenly a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University in the Department of Computing and Mathematics whithin the Faculty of Science and Engeneering. Prior to this, I worked as a researcher in Social Statistics in InGRID-2 project.

My research covers topics in survey statistics and survey methodology and in particular small area estimation methods. I am mainly interested in the following research areas: model-based inference, survey weighting, survey calibration, variance and mean squared error estimation, data integration, data dimensionality reduction in small area estimation. My research also covers topics in computational statistics such as resampling techniques (mainly bootstrap).

I am also interested in the following substantive areas: poverty, well-being, crime indicators and social attitudes.
