Biography

Dr. Amani Yousef Owda is a Research Associate in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Manchester. She gained a BEng in Electrical Engineering from Birzeit University in 2007, and an MSc in Communication Engineering with distinction and within the top 5 students from The University of Manchester in 2013 and a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in 2018 from Manchester Metropolitan University. In the MSc Amani concentrated on the Low Noise Amplifier Design with a thesis titled "Reconfigurable Multiband MMIC Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) for Wireless Communications". In her Ph.D research, she worked on the medical applications of microwave and millimeter wave imaging with a thesis titled "Medical Applications of Microwave and Millimetre-Wave Imaging".

 

Her main research interests are; Passively Powered Non-invasive Human Body Sensing on Bio-Degradable Conformal SubstratesMedical Applications of Microwave and Millimetre-Wave Imaging, Security Screening and Anomalies Detection, Radar Systems Reflectivity Measurements, Passive Sensing and Imaging (Radiometric Measurements), Electromagnetics Modelling and Simulations, Circuits Design, Digital Filters Design & Implementation, Low Noise Amplifier Design, Wireless Communications, Developments of Analogue and Digital Modulations Techniques, and Sensors.
