Alice is a BBSRC funded PhD student in Ecology and Evolution, researching disease transmission between wildlife and livestock in conservation landscapes in Kenya. She will be using DNA metabarcoding and PCR screening to investigate the prevelance and transmission of gastrointestinal nematodes, tick-borne parasites, and microbiome dynamics in mixed-use habitats, and the impacts of land management decisions.

Her previous research involved non-invasive measurement of reproductive and metabolic hormones in large herbivores (equids and black rhino), using ELISA.
