I currently work as a Research Fellow for the Manchester Institute of Education at The University of Manchester. My research interests span the relationships between various developmental, cognitive and social factors in children and young people, and how they influence education. I been involved in a numerous large scale research projects that have evaluated the impact of education initiatives on both academic outcomes and pupil mental health. For example, The Good Behaviour Game (funded by the EEF and NIHR), PATHS (funded by NIHR and EEF), and AfA (funded by the DfE).
I also contribute to the teaching of the Masters in Psychology of Education, with a particular interest in the role of neuroscience and cognitive in education.
