Overview

I am a postdoctoral scientist, who enjoys employing state-of-the-art research techniques to explore and understand the participation of genes and their products in the functions of living cells. During my doctoral research in Prof Robin F. Irvine's lab in Cambridge, I developed a close relationship with phosphoinositides, and ever since, I have been investigating the enzymes regulating their synthesis and degradation. In May 2015, I joined the research group of Prof Martin Lowe, where I have been using a combination of gene editing, knock-in strategies, functional proteomics, and RNAseq to investigate the function of type II inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase B in cellular signaling and endocytic trafficking as well as dissecting its molecular mechanism of action.
